On Wednesday, 28th January 2026, the High Commissioner of Ghana to the United Kingdom, Her Excellency Sabah Zita Benson, presented her Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Charles III at St James’s Palace.
The occasion not only highlighted the rich bilateral and historic relations between Ghana and the United Kingdom, but also marked a significant milestone, celebrating Ghana’s appointment of its first female High Commissioner to the UK since 1957.
It is also instructive to note that Her Excellency is the first High Commissioner to be received by the King at St James’s Palace since 1910, the last presentation being under the reign of King Edward VII.
